A quick pic of WTB’s Mountain Road Bar - a homage to the classic Dirt Drop. As fitted expertly by Cara.

That Brookes tape is doing well. On its third bike now.

Update: there’s now some pics of it in action on the Tunisia post.

That aged bar tape looks great against the colour of the Surly. I like.
I’m touring in Tunisia at the moment on the Surly. It looks the business under a coat of sand and dust, and that tape is nice and sun-bleached…
- and the country is pretty great too (-;
Dust?? Oh yes I remember.
Cant wait to see some pics on the blog.
keen to find a dirt drop bar i checked the WTB site and they reckon ” WTB Mountain Road bars are not compatible with bar end shifters, only STI index shifters”.so how did you do it?
hm, can’t say I had any problems. don’t think I did anything clever to make it fit (that would be unlike me) so I guess they just slotted in fine and expanded when I tightened them up. I like the splayed shape of the bars a lot, but would prefer less of a deep drop to encourage me to ride more in the drop position. they’re heavy too, but seem tough as nails.
